Darren Hebert, PID, RPBio, P.Biol. 

Principal

Since 1991, Darren has designed, delivered and/or managed ‘hands on’ community-based environmental and fisheries training programs to more than 18,000 environmental practitioners in Canada. 

A highly regarded and trusted training leader, Darren has a wealth of experience designing, building and managing training organizations and delivering training programs on behalf of community groups, post-secondary institutes, and private industry. He now brings that passion and value to NRTG, and looks forward to helping students and stakeholders acquire new skills and further their careers.

Darren is a registered professional biologist (RPBio. P.Biol.) and (B.C.) Provincial Instructor Diploma graduate,  with 34 years of experience in fisheries and environmental management, consulting, as well as educational leadership, training design and program delivery.

Darren teaches NRTG’s a number of NRTG programs, including Electrofishing Certification, Fish Habitat Assessment Level One, and Streambank Restoration
