Essential Fisheries Field Skills (EFFSP)
EFFSP is a 40-hour (one week) program that provides students with an introduction to key skills and materials required for effective work in fisheries. This is a condensed version of our traditional Fisheries Field Skills Program and would be a great option for anyone wanting a comprehensive introduction to fisheries field skills while conserving time (and budget)

Both these programs provide course participants with high-quality, in-demand introductory field skills. through a very practical and ‘hands on’ format. Instruction is almost exclusively field-based in realistic scenarios, where course participants learn how to perform technical skills and procedures under the direction of experienced instructors and practitioners.
Course participants typically include; current fisheries field technicians and biologists, Indigenous partners, and technicians working in other sectors.
